3D Design with Rhino — Basic Course

This hands-on course addresses the needs of beginners to Rhino. Its objective is to familiarize students thoroughly with Rhino fundamentals and teach them to create and edit 3D models of both mechanical parts and free-form models.

Topics include:

  • Editing using copy, move, array, rotate, trim, split, scale, join, boolean operations (add, subtract, and intersect) and control points
  • 3D modeling - freeform modeling, modeling with solids and surfaces
  • Manipulating views
  • Rendering using shade, render, spotlights, and materials
  • Customizing the modeling environment: grid, viewports, units, buttons, toolboxes, and workspaces
  • Exporting and importing of models for use with AutoCAD, 3D Studio, IGES, STL and other 2-D and 3-D graphics programs.

3 days; 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (24 hours total)

5 Saturdays, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
